[ it's evening in the village and he's looking at a plastic chicken skeleton with a flat expression. ]

Must be a lot of work to debone all those feathers before they stuff 'em into pillows.

[ also he's currently got horns on his head instead of cat ears (he presumably has the normal ears for this tribe under his hair, heaven has not left him earless) and no tail, but given what's been going on today, this probably isn't alarming. unlike the feather bones. ]

[meets him in the bar. she's tired enough that she looks unwell, but she will still raise her glass towards him, awkwardly.]

shadowheart is outside the dark forest, resting next to the stump of a tree. she's staring up at the sky, seemingly lost in thought, but she's also hammering her fingernails against the tree bark as though she has a great deal of nerves.]

fidelio is, as one might expect, at the hospital, though he's taking a quick breather outside the room at the moment.

he blinks at the offer, but shakes his head. ]

Thanks, but... wanna stay as sharp as I can tonight.

[ the murder and all. he does look like he appreciates the offer, though, even if he's too stressed out and tired to give anything that really qualifies as a smile. ]

they're attempting to enter the bar so he can cash in that rain check after last week, only to wind up back in the damn funhouse once they go through the door. and the memory (3:10:38 - 3:14:25) that plays this time... is a lot.

it's funny, because he's been thinking the whole time he's been in this building about how he'd never set foot in a school back home... but now that he's here with shadowheart, he's suddenly remembering the other life where he'd actually spent a lot of time in one, even if the elementary school in derry was a far cry from a fancy magic academy.

[our beach is back! our beautiful beach. she has showered and changed out of whatever hideous outfit i forced her to be in and is instead wearing something simple and comfortable and sitting out on the beach.]
