I mean, if it were back at the beginning, before we had any contact with the other side... god knows I would've reacted the same way if someone had killed Bas back then. [ as she probably knows better than anyone... so, like. he sympathises. ] But at this point, knowin' everything we do now, and when the killer's so clearly not in their right mind... it ain't worth it when we should just be focused on makin' sure we get them back.
[and that has a lot to do with what they saw. it's different from the raw grief you would feel if you'd lost your loved one permanently. something dark and unsettling emerged, instead.]
But it was still a choice to turn on all of us the way he did. And it would be nice if he would see that, but I don't have high hopes.
Yeah, me too. [ he famously has zero trust in god or the angels. ] Things have been fucked up so many times up 'til now, it's hard to believe we'd suddenly get a smooth ending.

Mm. I've been speaking to all of them - the angels, god, Gabriel - and they at least seem to believe it's coming to a head and it will be alright. And if they're wrong, I can't fix it by worrying, but...
