...I do worry that too much damage has been done for some people to be able to trust them, even if they make improvements... But any improvement will be a good thing to see.

I feel a bit silly now, though. He was cavalier on Friday when we spoke, but I'd just assumed it to be his attempt at lightening the mood a bit.

They must demonstrate themselves to be worthy of trust, rather than asking for trust that has not yet been earned.

Some signs do seem to manifest sooner, but whether we'd be certain enough to do anything is another matter entirely.

Even if it was his typical mood, it would be odd not to realize he might not act that way around you.

I hadn't thought overly-much of it since he did joke a bit to lighten the mood last week, and I wasn't really thinking about many things in general, yesterday... [He had to dedicate his one braincell to Yves.] But it may be something to consider, at least. Strange behavior potentially as early as Friday. Certainly it begins as early as Thursday night, if both Garrett and Jing Yuan are metrics to measure by.

Yes. So Thursday, then, is perhaps the day we must dedicate ourselves to watching it.

It couldn't hurt, at least... I couldn't tell that anything was unusual with Jing Yuan, but we had also all barely known one another for a week by then. Perhaps it will become easier with time.
