I'm a bit unsettled by how quickly things have just... settled. After everything that happened, with Charlie and everything, and now these apples.

The angels know about them. They believe none of us will take them, so they are meant to be temptations we overcome.

Ah. I see... I had hoped that the trials they were to give us would be more self-contained and personal. I do believe most here would be able to overcome this, but it's such a terrible risk, given what we know and don't know of what happens to the souls that die here...

...All the same... Even if it's perhaps a bit naive to believe it, to lose the chance at a return to life or paradise would surely be enough to dissuade anyone, yes? We all know what we're here for.

What I said to the angels was... ironically, I think someone like myself, who wants to return home for my own sake, has a better chance of resisting. But for someone who wants to use an apple for someone else, perhaps those costs would be worth it.

Even if it's meant to tempt us and prove we can resist, it's not quite fair.
