Certainly it begins as early as Thursday night, if both Garrett and Jing Yuan are metrics to measure by.
It couldn't hurt, at least... I couldn't tell that anything was unusual with Jing Yuan, but we had also all barely known one another for a week by then. Perhaps it will become easier with time.
