True. But I didn't hate her.

She was considerate, really.

Yeah. She seemed like she was fine...? I never thought she was terrible to hang around or anything like that.

She was sharp. And she kept a lot to herself, which I like in someone, but it makes me feel useless now.

You and me both. This place has a hell of a way of ruining the good stuff.

And the alright stuff, and the terrible stuff. But really, I am alright. I just don't know what to say about it.

I get it. It's like... wow, they're dead! Sucks! Guess we have to deal with that tomorrow! But anyway, what's for dinner?

That kind of thing.

Something like that, yes. People die. It's awful. What is the appropriate amount of mourning when we knew it was coming and are, deep down, grateful it wasn't us.

I wouldn't really know. Mourning isn't my thing-- taking care of whoever did it is more my style.
