[shadowheart can be found at the cat cafe, petting some cats. as she pets them, and you can see the image of a little memory (this is about 15 seconds long) of her petting another cat. she seems to be able to speak to him in this memory, but he is quite a demanding and rude fellow.]

Not always, but there are spells that make it possible to communicate with animals.

Um, well, I'm unaware of the circumstances of exactly how Marcoh achieved that. But it's a not uncommon spell. Most animals don't have all that much to say, though.

Guess not. [looks down at a cat circling his feet, crouches down to give it a pat.] Life is probably simpler for these guys, huh...

I imagine so. I've never spoken to a cat who wasn't primarily concerned with knowing where their next meal was coming from.
