I think, as children often do, that he was testing to see which boundaries he could still get away with.

Euphausia told me she had a vision of Charlie and Brimstone speaking with each other, and that he seemed to be engaging with Charlie in a positive way, but I don't doubt he's still throwing temper tantrums.

I didn't approach him aggressively or criticize him sharply. I know better than to talk back to deities, no matter what I may feel about their actions. He is at least aware that he has amends to make here too and a responsibility to us, which is more than I expected.

Gabriel and I had a conversation about asking this god for the ability to see people again after all of this. Gabriel seemed insistent that the god owes us that much.
My experience with gods is slightly different, though not dissimilar in the outcome. [how to put this.] They have a great amount of power, but they also have limitations on the extent to which they can interfere in mortal lives. Thus, to some extent they rely deeply on their chosen followers and champions, though acknowledging this balance of power is something that they don't tend to appreciate.
For better or worse, Lady Shar took a very direct interest in my life.
While I don't expect a God to truly understand the way mortals feel, I suspect this deity, for whatever reason, needs us. Perhaps it as simple as, there is some amount of power or influence riding on the outcome of this experiment, or perhaps it is more complex.
