Yes... Gabriel told me that as well, which is different information from what I had been told previously.

I've been trying to understand what Mary thought we'd glean from the messages we've been getting every week.

[for reference, she will show her notes:
First Week: Morse code "Knock Knock"
Second Week: More code messages pulled from our discussion of the knock knock jokes
WITH THE KNOWLEDGE ... BEING MANIPULATED
THIS ENTIRE THING HAS BEEN SAN (cut off) SAD
WHOS THERE? ... BOO
OPEN THE DOOR UNWARY OF ANY THREAT.

Third Week: The songs. There were two songs, but the lyrics we were given were as follows.
"... Oh, the path of least resistance... foolish misinterpretation... your heart is a nasty place... I'm afraid to say no to you... Keep your lies and your denial..."

“What were you thinking... should have known better... you opened the door for an apex predator... I keep forgetting the lessons I learned, so I keep getting...”

"Ladies and gentlemen, it was a cold-blooded premeditated murder."

"Born in a void, darkness feels like it's home. Death's banging on the door, so let's give him a show. Hey, hey, nah, man, now don't be shady, I'm how your God has made me, I'm just a puppet on a burning stage, no health and safety. 'Cause if I can't be me in this society, I'll hallucinate my own autonomy."

Fourth Week: Morse code messages that when put together read
This is a fun game but I don't think you guys get the rules. The night is long enough to influence more than one, and if they take an apple or not after, that's up to them.

Fifth Week: Conversation snippets, which we now know were with Mary.
1: "Last week's door is no good again. This is starting to feel more like tag than hide and seek."

"The new one is open. Do you understand that—"

2: "—tag and hide and seek are practically the same game? Maybe try harder to win instead of complaining about semantics."

"Thank you. You know you're my favorite? But I'm just saying, sitting around in hiding is a lot easier than having to run back and forth so much. But it'll be—"

3: "—fine. Winning or losing isn't exactly the point."

"Of course I'm your favorite. I've met the competition. And I suppose I have to accept your wish to make your own fun. You're lucky your pettiness is one of my favorite traits about you."]

It speaks of a great deal of resentfulness, but I'm not sure what else we're meant to understand.
