He just sounded confused. Like maybe one of the apples could have tempted him, but he couldn't believe he'd actually go for it, for that.

So maybe he is possessed, but... I don't know. He sounds different from the others that were, too. He couldn't pin down a reason for at all when I asked, not even anger or boredome or something like that.

...Maybe. He hasn't mentioned any kind of sickness or something to me, but maybe he wouldn't, if he even knew at all.

Maybe someone else will be able to get a better answer out of him.

I guess that's true. [ he's felt that way for much of his own life, too. ] Though I kind of wish that wasn't the case. Then, maybe, we'd at least see this stuff coming.
